The class lasts 75 mins. Held at the DanceWest Studio in Sands End Arts & Community Centre – Parsons Green (SW6). Sessions take place on Wednesdays (6:15-7:30pm) and Saturdays (9:45-11am).

If the Tuesdays’ courses don’t suit you, if you prefer a shorter program or if it is baby 2 or + and you need a refresher then the Express program is for you. Within 4 hours, we will go through the Antenatal Education – Prepare for birth and the 4th trimester with baby.

3 Step Birthing Awareness Process

When the birth doesn’t go as expected or you are scared of birth, it is common to feel overwhelmed, anxious or even feel trauma. These three 121 sessions can help you with any anxiety, upsetting, intrusive thoughts, panics, fears, phobias and  depression.  

If you experience or feel any of this; feel sad, shocked, upset, unease, loss, experience flash backs, low mood, anxiety, guilt, have difficulty to relax or sleep or depression then the 3 Step Process is for you.

Pregnancy Yoga & Preparation for Birth

Join in the 1st trimester if you already do yoga. If you are new to yoga or exercise, it is recommended to start the class from the 2nd trimester, around 15weeks. Antenatal Education – Prepare for Birth & Baby Course

This is a comprehensive Antenatal Education course currently delivered every month under two formats: 4 weeks program with 2.5-hour sessions or an express 4-hour program. Available in person and online / Group sessions or tailored 1 on 1 session (email me for 121) *small group so booking are essential.

The course are initially in English and can be hold in French upon request. 

The 4 weeks program runs over:

4 x consecutive Tuesday evenings – 6pm-8.30/9pm 

– Week 1&2: Antenatal Education – Prepare for Labour and Birth.

– Week 3: ‘Breath, Move and Relax’ – Practice of the positions, movements & breathing  that can be used during labour and birth + role of your birth partner.

– Week 4: The 4th trimester and Prepare for Baby – life with a newborn, baby and mummy care, sleep, feeding, mental health, community & more.

– With 2x Brunch / Walk Meet ups

The Express program runs over:

1 x Sunday morning – 10am-2pm

On a shorter amount of time, we will go through the Antenatal Education – Prepare for Labour and Birth and thriving  the 4th trimester – Prepare for Baby.

3 Step Birthing Awareness & Trauma Release Process

This is three 121 bespoke sessions for releasing trauma from any pregnancy, birth or removing unwanted fears for birth and/or for anyone who has fears/trauma from life experience in general.

When birth or motherhood does not go as expected… if you have had a baby and feel upset or sad about what happened at the birth, during pregnancy or postpartum. This can be different from mums to dads suffering with birth trauma, but we can hear some common things such as: 

– It felt out of control, I was scared for my life and baby’s life,

– I felt overwhelming

– I wasn’t listened to, considered to

– I feel loss, sad, anxious.

– I cannot relax or sleep, I feel numb

– I have flash backs or dark thoughts

– I never stop to see the worst case scenario and keep being worried

Or maybe you are anxious or scared about giving birth, the rest of your pregnancy, life after as a mum with a newborn, not being ready or not bonding with your baby, then this process is also for you. Pregnancy and postpartum are a great time to work through limiting beliefs, patterns or fears. These sessions are really extra helpful  in everyone’s birth & baby preparation. 

Or maybe you are not pregnant but have some of these fears, thoughts, trauma or phobias after an traumatic or upsetting event you’ve experienced, then this also for you.

The three 121 sessions can be done in person or via zoom. Session 1 & 2 last around 1hr and session 3 is 45mins. These will be spread out over one or two weeks as follows:

Session 1: We will go through a guided relaxation which will help to settle a stressed nervous system – which is often needed when you have experienced trauma/stress as the system is still running its stress response. After the session you will be given the recorded relaxation session to listen to between  the sessions and whenever you need in the future. You can choose to share you experience, but some people decided not to talk about it and that is still ok to do the process.

Session 2: After checking in, we will go through another guided relaxation. A bit longer this time as this is where we will re-encode the experience in the mind, in a way that you will still be able to remember the event keeping your key learning, while helping the mind to re-file any big emotions and unwanted reactions you might still have been experiencing and wanted to letting them go. This process is really effective and powerful for all kind of traumas as demonstrated by its creators when used for veterans who had PTSD. You are in control of the process at all times.

Session 3: This is session is shorter and we will mainly be focusing on the future and how life might be without these complex feelings and traumatic symptoms. This last guided meditation will help you to move forward feeling lighter, more positive, with a greater sense of calm, confidence and ease.

PRICE – £220  – includes all 3 sessions plus the recorded guided relaxation! People already attending the Yoga classes and/or Antenatal education courses can benefit of a £20 discount.

Please note that this is not therapy and we are not therapists. We are simply taking you through a guided meditation to help your mind process and re-file the experiences you’ve had. This can give you more space and help you feel better going forward. Together we can clear these dominating patterns and feelings by focusing on the future we would rather have. This is accredited by the Birthing Awareness. The  3 Steps Process was applied to birth trauma by Mark Harris and he created the Birth Awareness. Mark was a midwife and author.

 

Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Space is limited, booking is essential.
  • If you are late, your space may be given to the next person on our waiting list – please arrive 10mins before class to get settled and start promptly.
  • Packages of 5 Classes have a 6 week expire, packages of 10 Classes have a 3 months expire and the 2+1 Intro Offer have a 1 month expire – be sure to use up all your classes in the time allocated.
  • For Zoom classes, an email with a link for you to join the class will be sent before the start. Please be in the meeting room 5mins before.
  • Find the right class day and time for you. You can easily book via the Timetabke which uses a third party online booking system. If you are new to the website you will be asked to create an account. It is quick and secure and ensures your space in the classes.
  • If you want to reserve your space by contacting your teacher directly, payment is required in advance by online banking or bring cash to class.
  • Be sure to tick to receive ’emails & notifications’ when you sign up, so the booking system cans end you reminders on expiry dates and class changes.
  • Classes missed or late cancelled (within 12hrs of the class) will be charged as if attended – make sure you respect the 12hrs cancelation policy.
  • Please log into your account to cancel your own classes – cancellation in person, via email or by text cannot be accepted unless previously agreed with the teacher.
  • If you do not attend the session you booked online more than once, your ability to book online can be suspended.
  • If the teacher occasionally change at short notice, no refunds or exchanges will be given if there is a cover teacher, and the 12hrs cancellation rule still applies.
  • Check the Timetable for latest details or your teacher direclty and be sure to use all your classes up before they expire.
  • All courses – such as Preparing for Birth Antenatal Education  4 weeks program or Express program need to be booked and paid for in full, in advance to secure your space. Cancelations less than 7 days prior the course dates cannot be refunded. In advance of 7 days, 50% can be refunded within 14 days of notification of your cancelation or you can swap to an alternative course.
  • By Booking you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and privacy policy as above.
  • The 4B’s respect your data and do not share emails or personal info with any other unauthorised parties.

By participating in any of our classes you are agreeing that you understand the following:

Starting our classes is no different to starting any other form of exercise – the same guidelines apply:

  • If you are pregnant and not used to regular exercise, then it is recommended that you move carefully and wait until after 15 weeks before starting class. If you have a regular practice, good sense of body awareness and/or feel safe and confident starting classes earlier, please inform your teacher of this when booking.

  • If you are coming to the Pregnancy Yoga please make sure you tell your teacher of any conditions, injuries, operations or medications that you take that may effect your practice. In all cases, if in doubt, please consult your doctor, midwife or healthcare professional.

  • In attendance of all classes you understand that by participating in this class you are totally responsible for yourself and if in the unlikely event of any injury of any kind, or miscarriage, the teacher of this class, nor The 4 B’s is not in any way responsible.

When booking you will be asked to agree to the following Terms & Conditions

  • I agree to adhere to the 4 B’s cancelation policy and I understand that when I practice in class I am responsible for my own body and well-being.
