About me

Hello I am Emilie,

I am a Certified Midwife, Birth Doula,  Antenatal Educator & Pre-Postnatal Yoga Teacher. I believe that support, guidance & community are your birthright and the keys for a positive birth experience and your babies’ future.

Originally from the South of Belgium, I moved to the UK in 2016. As a French speaker, one of my biggest dream was to speak fluently English. After working as a midwife in Belgium, I could feel something was missing in my life, that I was meant to do more. So in February 2016, after a quick video call on Skype,        I decided to be ‘au pair’ in the UK.

This is the best experience I’ve ever had! I lived in four different families among UK and Australia and each of them made me feel like I’ve always been one of them. Sharing the daily basis with others which includes all the ups&downs of a family as well as the differences in terms of culture and education, this has been a huge opportunity to learn how to interact better with others, how to be kind and openminded to each other and how much being a community and supporting each other is important.

After this wonderful experience, I felt that it was time for me to settle and build my own family. I arrived in London in 2018 where after some training in Events and Marketing, I worked as a Project Manager.  A year after, I went back into Midwifery – I was missing the contact with mamas and babies.

Two years ago, I decided to go freelance as an Antenatal Educator and Prenatal Yoga teacher with LushTums. I retired from Midwifery and focus on the support and guidance of the parents-to-be in their Preparation for birth. Early 2025, I then extend my field by offering my Birth Doula services, I really want to be there for the mums-to-be during birth and giving all my focus on getting the best support during this important time. Following ladies from pregnancy to birth, I wanted to give the opportunity of a support afterbirth by teaching Mums &Baby Postnatal Yoga. These classes allows us to following up all the topics we see during the prenatal yoga by adapting now to your physical and emotional needs during postnatal as well as giving you time for you and baby to bond and share with other mums any ups and downs you might face during this 4th Trimester.

I am a registered Doula, Antenatal Educator and Yoga Teacher with FEDANT and my registration number is 13600.

My mission

As a Doula & Certified Midwife, I realise how important our role is; informing mums-to-be & your birth partners and helping prepare you for the most positive and empowering birth experience.

I’ve always wanted to create a cosy warm space where you can talk freely and learn to trust your body and your instinct and as a Pre-Postnatal Yoga Teacher, I am thrilled to welcome you in this safe place full of love.

I offer support and guidance adapted for each couple and parent-to-be during the most important time of your life, from pregnancy to the birth and the first days and months with your baby.

This is a safe space with no judgement where I explain all the options you have around Birth, what to expect and also the importance of your birth partner role; so you can make your own unique informed choices along the way. An informed decision is the best choice you can make for you & your baby, and I will be there to support you all the way through. I look forward to working with you!

Love xx

Emilie
